This listing is for an upper tailgate release handle kit for the Land Rover Discovery 3/4.

A common fault on the Discovery 3 & 4's is failure of the tailgate actuator.

When the actuator fails it means you cannot open the tailgate and you have to dismantle the lower tailgate to manually operate the lock - this is not an easy job and often requires specialist assistance.

However, with this kit installed it gives you a permanent interior manual pull handle so you can easily release the tailgate.

Apart from being a lifesaver if your actuator fails, it is also handy if you sleep in your vehicle overland style.

This is a really well made kit with a nice quality metal pull handle finished in black.

This kit includes everything you need to install the handle and can be fitted with just a few basic skills and tools.

This is not a genuine Land Rover item, but is a good quality item from Land Rover Passion in Italy.
