for Land Rover Freelander 2 Diesel 2.2L

This is a motorised throttle valve body for the Land Rover Freelander 2 Diesel.

This is a motorised "butterfly" valve that is driven by a motor that drives some gears to close and open the "flap".

The problem is that the gears are plastic and they wear out leading to a strange squealing noise that is most noticeable immediately after your turn off the engine - see below video.

It is actually quite easy to change this item as its located at the front of the engine - see below video.

This is a good quality aftermarket part that can be used as an alternative to Land Rover part number LR012598.

This part from Land Rover retails for around £260.

This is not a genuine Land Rover item.

This item WILL fit the Diesel versions of the Land Rover Freelander 2 ( 2.2L TD4 engine )

This item WILL NOT fit the Petrol versions of the Land Rover Freelander 2 ( V6 petrol engine )

This item WILL NOT fit any other Land Rover models.
