This listing is for a clamp kit for the Land Rover Defender L663 fitted with the "expedition" roof rack.

We sell 2 versions of this kit:

• Zinc plated mild steel top plate (this kit) - mild steel is magnetic, so this is suitable for mounting accessories which have a magnet on the base, (such as aerials, etc). The zinc coating offers some resistance against corrosion.
• Stainless steel top plate - this is non-magnetic but offers increased resistance against corrosion.

We noticed a lack of mounting options for the roof rack on the Defender (which is manufactured by Thule) - so we engineered our own solution!

We have put together this kit which will give you a solid and secure mounting plate that you can mount your accessories to (lights/ aerials /bike rack / roof box etc ).

Although you can use the T slot in the cross rails wanted something a little more "chunky" and adaptable to mount accessories on our expedition roof rack.

The overall size of the top mounting plate is 155mm x 135mm.

The kit consists of 1 clamp assembly as shown in the photos.

The UK manufactured stainless steel metal plates include bottom strap plates and a square top plate which also includes holes for you to mount your accessories to.

The assembly is tightened down securely in place with the supplied stainless steel coach bolts and stainless nyloc nuts.

The top plate is made from zinc plated steel (magnetic) and the bottom strap plates are made from stainless steel (non-magnetic).

Please note: Due to the unfinished nature of the top plate there may be some manufacturing markings but this is not visible once fitted on the roof.

We are proud to say that all of the main components in this kit are designed in-house by us.

Note: As part of our constant improvement programme, the top and bottom blocks are now made out of injection moulded ABS and will differ slightly to how they appear in the photos (ribbed underside).

This kit is shaped to fit the Thule manufactured Expedition roof rack which is sold by Land Rover as an accessory for the Defender - unfortunately it will not fit the cross bars on the Defender as they are a different profile.
