This listing is for a replacement brake switch for the Land Rover Discovery 3 & 4.

These switches are responsible for much more than just controlling the brake light function and can be a common cause of many faults on your vehicle.

Symptoms of a faulty brake switch can include:

• Not releasing automatic transmission from park
• Engine not starting
• ABS and emergency braking functions (ABS light may come on the dash)
• Brake lights not working
• Brake lights stuck on
• Cruise control not working

This is an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacture) item - the same part you'd get from Land Rover just without the branded packaging!

This part retails for around £30 if you purchase it from Land Rover! (Land Rover part number is XKB500110).

There are a lot of cheap aftermarket versions of this switch on the market - but given the important function of this part we think it's best to fit a good quality item!

One of our YouTube viewers recommended keeping a spare in your vehicle as it could save you a costly recovery bill - we think this is good advice given how inexpensive they are!
